Once you are licenced as an ECOL operator you are required to register yourself as an ECOL operator on the ECOL website and keep a regular record of your experience.
This will allow you to demonstrate your experience on various crane types and jobsites to site managers or potential employers and allows them to check your previous experience.
The experience registration is also important when you have to renew your ECOL licence after the five year validity expires.
It will allow you to give evidence of your minimum required 2500 operating hours over the five year period, which is required to renew your licence.
